Session Description:

You can directly influence your provider’s referral patterns through effective marketing campaigns. As a highly reimbursed outpatient service of a health system, radiology services should be represented in the referring community through a dedicated salesperson. Historically, a hospital physician liaison (or marketing individual) represents all service lines within the system. This creates a diluted message and often becomes difficult to target and grow specific services. It is important to develop an effective marketing plan that creates action and supports the goals of the department. Execution of a marketing plan will strengthen relationships with current providers, provide insight into their needs and improve referral volume.  In this session, we will discuss how to review your physician universe, identify target and potential referral sources, the key components of a marketing plan and how to track success and accountability.
